Union Criminal Court Records

Union County, New Jersey Warrant Search

Yes. Requesters may access publicly available warrant-related information in Union County in accordance with the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA). This law states that the public may view or inspect government records, including warrant-related entries in arrest records, unless an exemption applies. The exemption clause allows custodian agencies to withhold or redact access to active criminal investigation records, or sealed, expunged, juvenile-related, confidential, or restricted records.

Union County requesters may also access warrant-related information in court records under Court Rule 1:38, not OPRA. Rule 1:38 provides that court records within the custody and control of the Judiciary are generally open for public inspection, unless an exception applies.
